I am thrilled to share my experience volunteering with Action for Wildlife for the creation of their 2025 calendar!
This significant project aims to support the operation of the Wildlife Rescue Center in Kalohori, contributing to the care and rehabilitation of wild animals in need.
This initiative is part of my personal project, “Faces of Nature”, which seeks to celebrate the beauty and individuality of the animal kingdom. Through this collaboration, we hope to inspire others to appreciate and protect the incredible diversity of wildlife.
A Photoshoot with Purpose
The photoshoot was conducted with the highest regard for the animals’ well-being, in partnership with and under the guidance of the center’s biologist, Froso Parcharidou. Every step of the process was carefully planned:
- Animal Selection: Only animals that could remain undisturbed by our presence were included.
- Minimal Exposure: Animals posed for just a few minutes in a calm and controlled environment, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Our goal wasn’t to achieve the “perfect shot.” Instead, we focused on capturing the unique details of each animal’s face – details that are often overlooked or impossible to see from a distance.
