Description
A flamingo silhouette print reduced to two things: a bird, and the light on the water. The setting sun turns the ripples into bands of gold and copper, and the flamingo becomes a dark, elegant shape moving through them.
The story behind the image
I waited for the bird to walk into the brightest part of the reflection and shot straight into the light on purpose. Exposing for the water leaves the flamingo as a clean silhouette, and the curve of the neck is enough to tell you what it is.
About this print
Warm, textured and almost abstract from a distance. It sits beautifully in wood and earth-toned interiors.
