A nightingale print made in spring, when the tree is in full blossom and the bird is easier to hear than to see. Soft, high-key light keeps the whole frame pale, so the nightingale sits inside the branches rather than in front of them.
The story behind the image
Nightingales sing constantly and show themselves rarely. This one kept returning to the same branch, which gave me time to find a clean line through the blossom and wait for it to come back into it.
About this print
Pale greens, white and lilac, delicate and bright. A gentle piece for a light room, and a natural companion to the other spring images.
