Description
This flamingo sunrise print catches one bird crossing the disc of the rising sun over Lake Kerkini. The sky, the mist and the water all go the same warm orange, and the flamingo is the only dark shape in the frame.
The story behind the image
It was made from a boat on a still winter morning, when the lake is flat enough to work as a mirror. Timing is everything here: the bird crosses the sun for perhaps a second, and the light that makes the image lasts a few minutes.
