Description
This pelican sunrise print catches the few minutes when Lake Kerkini turns completely red. Steam rises off the water, the mountains sit flat and dark on the horizon, and a single Dalmatian Pelican drifts through the middle of it all.
The story behind the image
Cold mornings are the ones worth getting up for. The difference between air and water temperature builds the mist, and for a short while the light does all the work. Everything in the frame is the sunrise itself, working through the mist.
About this print
Deep reds and oranges with a small, quiet subject. A warm piece for a neutral wall, and one that carries a room on its own.
